geosfilm is again working for "ORF-Universum"
„Schnee“ (en: snow)

Sparkling ice cristals and fascinating winter landscapes, stormy snow and dangerous avalanches, freezing cold and clear air – with winter wa all associate different experiences, memories and pictures. “Schnee” (en: snow) is the title of the new production fot the ORF series “Universum” about the cold season.
One part of it takes place in the Youth Tyrolean Dolomites and the other one in Stiria, Austria.

Again the geosfilm team from Winnebach takes part in creating this documentary. The team around the wekk-known director and cameraman Hubert Schönegger and his assistants Peter Leiter and Alexander Zeidler takes care, that the winter landscape of South Tyrol with magnificent images will be shown to a large audience.

A grat part of the shooting in South Tyrol is already done. Very specatular was the shooting around Prettau-Kasern in Ahrnatl: The sudden onset of winter 2007 with up to a meter of fresh snow completely surprised the farmers and their animals. Tireless and nearly unhuman work of the farmes took care, that the snowed in animals where freed of their precarious situation. The geosfilm team accompanied the rescure work for the first time with the new camera, now completely in high definiton.

Producer Dieter Lochlatko (EPO-Film) and director Karl T. Steindl are responsable for realising this project. The documentry will be aired in the ORF series “Universum” in mid december 2008.
